Srinagar, February 22 (KNO) : Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Friday accused that the security of the mainstream politician is being either withdrawn or the security cover is minimized to ‘withhold them from reaching to people’. Addressing a presser, senior PDP leader Ghulam Nabi Lone Hanjura said that as to what has changed from the time they were provided security. "While the security situation in the valley has deteriorated further however security cover of politician is withdrawn of downgraded. Has the situation changed in the valley to an extent that there is no need of it anymore," Hanjura said, alleging that the security cover is being withdrawn 'selectively'. According to KNO correspondent Hanjura termed it as 'selective victimization'. “Polls are coming and we need to visit places and meet people by doing this political leadership is being barred from moving to places," he said. He also criticized the Governor Jammu and Kashmir Satya Pal Malik for working on a agenda set for him by the Bharatiya Janata party. According to Hanjura government is attempting to decieve people by pushing a false narrative. "Security cover was downgraded or withdrew of 173 persons including some separatists and mainstream party workers," he said. According to Hanjura, PDP is concerned over the war hysteria as it can have far-reaching consequences. "It is impossible to make the situation in J&K better or to give peace a chance unless both India and Pakistan initiate a dialogue process. War is not the solution,” he said.(KNO)
